VOLUNTEERING EXPERIENCE IN NAMIBIA AND AT HOME
In Namibia
The kids supported by Happydu ETS are ready to welcome any volunteer that decides to spend some time with them. A volunteering experience allows to donate energy, time and love and to have the kids’ naive smile back.
Where: mainly in the slums of Swakopmund, Namibia.
Requirements: majority age, basic English knowledge; respect for the local culture and interest in our projects goal; willingness to share and to adapt oneself.
Duration: from 3 weeks to 3 months maximum.
Required activities: following kids from 3 to 20 years old coming from the poorest areas, in their school programme, sport, activities or games. 5 days per week, but volunteers can choose to participate to the week end activities as well.
Costs: it has no cost, but transports, meals and accommodations to be provided by the volunteers themselves.
Working Visa: You require a volunteer visa as per Namibian law. You need to apply for the visa before entering the country, allowing at least 2 months for the application process. You must be in possession of a passport that is valid for at least six months after the date of entry whose costs are borne by volunteer. Happydu will provide you all the informations necessary.
