Little Vikings Pre-primary School (2014-2022)
Starting from June 2022, the project has started its own self-financing process and Happydu is not anymore involved in.
Little Vikings Pre-primary School is located in the slums of the Goreangab district (Windhoek, Namibia). In 2013, when we visited this kindergarten for the first time, we made a promise to the teacher: “we will meet again in our next trip”. So, in 2014, we kept our promise.
The children attending the pre-school were approximately 125, aged between 4 and 6 years, all coming from the surrounding area. This small kindergarten made of metal sheets, the same material as the houses where the children live in, authentically reflects the surrounding landscape, as far as structure and organization are concerned.
From 2014 till May 2022 Happydu ETS provided :

- 4 New classrooms
- A new playgroung
- Two bathrooms and outdoor flooring
- Raising the fence
- Tables, chairs, blackboards and other classroom furniture
- Regular supply of educational material and stationery
- Outdoor gazebo
